LOL..okay so that was corney, but have you ever considered doing mystery shopping?  No, it's not going to make you rich, but it is fun.  A few years ago I did mystery shopping for a couple of convenience stores in my town.  I averaged around $60 a month but I live in a very rural area too.  I can see how it could be lucrative if you lived in a larger city.

What is a mystery shopper?

Basically a mystery shopper goes into a store and makes sure that things are being handled properly.  No, you are not a spy for the boss, you are just to report how your visit was handled.  Plus, you get paid for the stuff you buy!

How do you get started mystery shopping?

Well, looking in the paper is an excellent way to start!  Doing an internet search for mystery shopping agencies in your area is another great way to find work in this industry.  Another thing you might try is contacting your local marketing and research companies, they very well could be looking!

Once you've gotten the hang of it, you could always venture out on your own and gain your own contracts.  This will cut out the middle man and definitely help your pocketbook...lol...but it's best to get experience first.
